2024 NRLCA keynote speaker - Kirby Ricketts
Kirby Rickets, Missouri, was elected to the National Board of the National Rural Letter Carriers' Association at the 117th National Convention in Grand Rapids, Michigan on August 18, 2023, to serve a four-year term as Executive Committeeman. He is presently assigned to the Central Area. Kirby started his postal career in 1986, being the first RCA hired in the Trenton, MO post office, a position that he held for 17 years. Kirby started his steward journey in 1992, holding positions of Local and Area Steward until accepting a Part-time ADR position in 2013, serving the Mid-America and Gateway Districts. He continued his journey by accepting the positions of Full-time ADR in 2016, Gateway District Representative in 2020, and KS-MO District Representative after district realignment. In addition to his steward positions, he has also served as the 2nd District Committeeman for the MORLCA Board, Tellers Committee, and as a member of Task Force 2. Kirby has been assigned to Route 4 Trenton, MO since going full-time in 2003. He is happily married to his wife of 38 years, Leona. They have two children, Amanda and Derek, and they're also proud grandparents to three beautiful granddaughters: Emma, Nola, and Stella.
